Themes
Six boards, ready to type.
Classic, NuKey, Accents, Graphite, NuChron and Hero — each a complete set of keycaps, legends and accents. Classic is yours free; the other five come with Pro.
Build a keyboard that looks, sounds and feels like your own—with custom keycaps, mechanical switch sounds and animated lighting.
A web sketch of the real thing. Six themes, coloured from NuKey's own palettes — Accents even puts the yellow shift and coral delete where the app does.
Start with a ready-made theme or build every detail yourself. Four things you can change, and a keyboard nobody else has.

Under Wave, Under Ripple, Under Spectrum, Blackwave, Constellation, Afterglow. Light that answers your typing, in whatever colour you like—or off entirely.
Feel
Reds, Browns, Blues, Blacks, Greens, Clears, Whites and Oranges, sampled from the real thing. Haptics and sound have separate strength sliders, so you can have one without the other.
Everything else
28 legend fonts. A number row and an emoji row you can turn on. Languages, quick text, and stats on how you actually type.

From people who have been typing on NuKey since launch.
Congratulations on the launch of #NuKey; it’s truly amazing.
Excellent app! Makes me wonder why Apple ever added the emoji row, such a good addition.
I am obsessed, this is so amazing!
Build a keyboard and start typing without paying anything. NuKey Pro is a single payment that opens the rest—no subscription, ever.
Try everything the builder does before you decide.
One payment, yours for good. No subscription.
A keyboard is the one thing you touch on every screen. NuKey lets you set how it reads, sounds and moves.
Set the key legend font from 28 typefaces, four weights and five sizes—independently of the keycaps, so the letters can be as large and bold as you need.
Every control in the app carries a spoken label, and hints and values where they help—so the builder can be driven without seeing it.
Turn on Reduce Motion in iOS and the lighting animations settle. You can also switch lighting off entirely and keep the board still.
The app's own type follows your iOS text size setting, so the settings you are reading grow with the rest of your phone.
Haptics and switch sounds have their own strength sliders, and either can be turned all the way down—keep the feel without the noise, or the other way round.
Keycap and legend colours are yours to pick, with a separate set for dark mode, so you can build the contrast that suits your eyes rather than accept a preset.
iOS keeps new keyboards behind a couple of settings. Here is the whole path.
Download it from the App Store and open it once, so iOS knows the keyboard is there.
Go to Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard… and choose NuKey.
Hold the globe key on any keyboard to pick NuKey, then head back into the app to make it your own.
NuKey does not collect your data. Your keyboard is personal, and the things you type should remain that way. Read the privacy policy.
Download NuKey, follow the setup guide in the app, then add NuKey from Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard.
NuKey is free to download and free to try. NuKey Pro is a single £8.99 payment that unlocks the other five themes, every switch sound, animated lighting and 31 more keyboard slots. There is no subscription, and the purchase is shared with your family.
Yes. You can build and save custom keyboard designs, then choose the one you want to use.
Yes. Key legends can be set to any of 28 fonts in four weights and five sizes, every control in the app has a VoiceOver label, the app's text scales with your iOS text size, animations settle when Reduce Motion is on, and haptics and sound each have their own strength control.
No. NuKey's App Store privacy disclosure states that the app does not collect data.
NuKey is designed for iPhone and requires iOS 26.2 or later.
