Legends you can read
Set the key legend font from 28 typefaces, four weights and five sizes—independently of the keycaps, so the letters can be as large and bold as you need.
Built for VoiceOver
Every control in the app carries a spoken label, and hints and values where they help—so the builder can be driven without seeing it.
Respects Reduce Motion
Turn on Reduce Motion in iOS and the lighting animations settle. You can also switch lighting off entirely and keep the board still.
Text that scales
The app's own type follows your iOS text size setting, so the settings you are reading grow with the rest of your phone.
Sound and touch, separately
Haptics and switch sounds have their own strength sliders, and either can be turned all the way down—keep the feel without the noise, or the other way round.
Contrast on your terms
Keycap and legend colours are yours to pick, with a separate set for dark mode, so you can build the contrast that suits your eyes rather than accept a preset.

iOS keeps new keyboards behind a couple of settings. Here is the whole path.
Install NuKey
Download it from the App Store and open it once, so iOS knows the keyboard is there.
Add it in Settings
Go to Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard… and choose NuKey.
Switch to it and build
Hold the globe key on any keyboard to pick NuKey, then head back into the app to make it your own.

How do I install the NuKey keyboard?
Download NuKey, follow the setup guide in the app, then add NuKey from Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard.
How much does NuKey cost?
NuKey is free to download and free to try. NuKey Pro is a single £8.99 payment that unlocks the other five themes, every switch sound, animated lighting and 31 more keyboard slots. There is no subscription, and the purchase is shared with your family.
Can I build more than one keyboard?
Yes. You can build and save custom keyboard designs, then choose the one you want to use.
Is NuKey accessible?
Yes. Key legends can be set to any of 28 fonts in four weights and five sizes, every control in the app has a VoiceOver label, the app's text scales with your iOS text size, animations settle when Reduce Motion is on, and haptics and sound each have their own strength control.
Does NuKey collect what I type?
No. NuKey's App Store privacy disclosure states that the app does not collect data.
