NuKeyFree and NuKey Pro
What you get for nothing, what NuKey Pro adds, and how the one-off payment works.
One payment, no subscription
NuKey is free to download and free to try. NuKey Pro is a single payment of £8.99 that unlocks the rest. There is no subscription, ever, and the purchase is included with Family Sharing.
What is in each
| Free | The full keyboard builder and your first slot · the Classic theme · NuKey Adapt, swipe typing and suggestions · languages, emoji and your own words · proofreading with Apple Intelligence · no ads, no data collected. |
|---|---|
| Pro | Every theme beyond Classic and a theme key · 31 more keyboard slots · all sixteen switches, with your haptics · every lighting pattern, and Lighting Studio · Keyboard Extras, Nuke Mode, Quick Text and Clipboard · Board Controls · Shortcuts on the keyboard, and Rewind. |
Anything Pro is still visible to free users. Locked options show Comes with NuKey Pro next to them, so you can explore before you decide.
Trying before buying
- Build a whole keyboard in the free slot and type with it.
- Every Pro setting can be previewed in the app, so you can see and hear what you would be buying.
- Until Pro is unlocked, NuKey types with the stock iOS click and no haptics.
Family Sharing and a new phone
Pro is tied to your Apple ID, so it follows you to a new iPhone and is shared with your Family Sharing group. If Pro does not appear after installing on a new device, sign in with the same Apple ID and reopen the app. If it still does not show, send us a message from Support inside the app.
Something unclear or out of date? Tell us on the feedback board, or use Support inside the app and we will fix the guide.
