NuKeyThe Keys menu: every setting
A complete reference to the Keys menu: top row, space bar, typing, touch accuracy, utility keys and starting over.
Opening it
Swipe in from the left edge of the screen, or turn on Show Keys on Home (at the bottom of the menu) to keep a card for it on the home hub. Changes appear the next time the keyboard opens.
Top row
| Number row | Adds 1–0 above the letters on every keyboard. Pro. |

| Compact number row | Draws the digits shorter than the letter keys to save height. Needs Number row. |
| Number and symbol shortcuts | Hold the top-row keys for 1–0 and ! @ £ $ % ^ & * ( ). |
| Numbers only on long press | Skip accented letters when holding the QWERTY number keys. Needs the shortcuts above. |
| Emoji row | Puts recent emoji above the letters instead. Pro. Turn off Number row to use it. |
| Compact emoji row | Draws the emoji shorter than the letter keys. Needs Emoji row. |
Space bar
| Comma key | Adds a comma to the left of the space bar. |

| Full stop key | Adds a full stop to the right of the space bar. |
| Double space for full stop | Two quick taps of the space bar type a full stop. |
Typing
| Keep number keyboard open | Stays on 123 after punctuation until you tap ABC. |

| Automatic capitalisation | Capitalises the first letter of sentences. |
| Faster hold to delete | Deletes faster and reaches whole-word deletion sooner. |
| Swipe Delete to remove words | Swipe left across Delete to remove a word at a time; swipe back to restore. |
| Space bar cursor glide | Drag slowly across the space bar to move the cursor. A quick flick still switches language. |
| Swipe left on space for a comma | Flick left across the space bar to type a comma and a space. |
| NuKey Adapt | Reshapes touch targets around your hands and likely next letters. See NuKey Adapt. |
| Word Correction | Automatically fixes misspelled words as you type. |
| Word Suggestions | Word completions and predictions in the suggestion bar. |
| Smart punctuation spacing | Moves punctuation before an automatic trailing space. |
| Proofreading | A companion that opens Rewrite when tapped. See Proofreading. |
| Live proofreading | Checks the current paragraph after you pause typing. Needs Proofreading. |
| Emoji suggestions | Offers a matching emoji in the bar. |
| Replace words with emoji | Choosing an emoji replaces its matching word. Needs Emoji suggestions. |
| Swipe to type | Slide across letters to enter a word. See Swipe typing. |
| Key preview | Pops the pressed character up in a bubble above the key. |
| Key press animation | Sinks and darkens keys while they are pressed. |
| Key press tilt | Tips each cap toward where your finger lands. |
Touch accuracy
A Touch sensitivity control tunes how the keyboard reads your touches. Pair it with NuKey Adapt.
Utility keys
Buttons you can put on the keyboard so a feature is one tap away.

Start over
Reset NuKey erases everything and starts NuKey again from the beginning.
CarefulReset cannot be undone. Share any keyboards you want to keep as codes first.
