NuKeyKeycap artwork and the Sculptor Pro
Print a photo on a key, wrap the whole board in artwork, add a symbol behind a legend, or mould a cap shape of your own.
Artwork on a key
In the builder, select a key and open its artwork controls.
- Choose a photo to print on the keycap.
- Position the print and set how far it wraps down the keycap's sides.
- Optionally turn on the letter or symbol to print the key's legend over the artwork.
Symbols behind a legend
A key can place an SF Symbol shape behind its legend. Size it, rotate it, position it, then choose how it mixes with the keycap.
Whole-board artwork
The 3D cap style can take artwork across the whole board, so a single photo wraps over every key. It is the only style that does.
The Keycap Sculptor
Pick the Sculpt style and open the Sculptor. Drag a corner to round it, and hold the cap to see it pressed.
| Corners | Each corner's rounding, as a share of the key's height. Half is a full pill. |

| Top face inset | How far the top face is drawn in from each edge. The band left showing is the cap's side. |
| Scoop | A concave cut out of a corner, like the thumb keyboard's. Pick the corners it takes. Off, only the top face is scooped and the base shows through. |
| Dish | The hollow in the top face. Its colours are the group's dish pair in the builder. |
| Highlight and legend | How the face's edge catches the overhead light, and where a single letter prints. |
| Mirror | Keys right of centre wear the shape flipped, so a scoop or heavy corner rolls inward from both sides. |
Utility keys (shift, delete, return and the page keys) follow the letter caps until you give them a shape of their own, and the space bar follows the utility keys the same way.
Keep and share a shape
Saved sculpts stay on your device and travel inside shared keyboards automatically, so a friend who opens your keyboard gets the shape with it. You can also send a sculpt as a file or a NuKey code.
