Studio and Gallery

Design a complete keyboard on a big screen in the browser, then scan a QR code with your iPhone to open it in NuKey.

NuKey Studio

Studio builds a complete keyboard in the browser: all eleven key groups, light and dark, lighting, Liquid Glass, keycap profile or your own sculpted shape, backdrop, key press bubble, switch and haptics, layout and legend typeface.

  1. Open Studio and pick a key group, then colour it.
  2. Turn on Separate colours for Dark Mode if you want a night design. Generated dark colours keep each group's hue and hierarchy.
  3. Check the legend contrast. Studio flags low-contrast legends before you make a code.
  4. Choose whether to include the switch, haptics and layout, then create the QR code.
  5. Scan it with the iPhone Camera. NuKey opens on the import sheet.

Studio tips

  • The preview sketches each pattern's family. The app draws the real thing.
  • For Liquid Glass, lower each group's glass colour opacity to about 0.25 to 0.45.
  • Measurements for sculpted caps are fractions of the key's height, exactly as the app stores them.

The Gallery lists keyboards people chose to share publicly. On an iPhone with NuKey, Open in NuKey takes a keyboard straight into the app. You can sort by newest, most liked and most opened.

Good to knowThe keyboards themselves are fetched by the app alone, so there is nothing to download from the website.

Ask an AI to design one

Copy the theme prompt into any capable model, describe a mood, attach a reference image and save the file it writes. Open it in NuKey to import.
