Privacy, iCloud and Full Access
What stays on your phone, what syncs, and why each permission is asked for.
The short version
NuKey does not collect your data, and its App Store privacy disclosure says so. Proofreading runs on the device with Apple Intelligence. Nothing you type leaves.
What stays on the device
| What you type | Never uploaded. Not by suggestions, autocorrect, swipe typing or proofreading. |
|---|---|
| Rewind captures | Encrypted in the keyboard's private container. The app never reads them, and nothing syncs. |
| Stats | Counted on the device. Shared only by you. |
| Unpinned clipboard history | Stays on the device and clears after your retention period. |
What syncs through your private iCloud
- NuKey Adapt's bounded per-key aggregates, so it can be restored after reinstalling. No words and no individual touch points.
- Pinned clipboard clips and collections.
- Your keyboards and settings backup, so a new phone is ready.
Full Access
See what Full Access is for. iOS shows a warning that any keyboard with it enabled may transmit what you type. For NuKey that is a platform warning, not behaviour.
