Layout
Pick a key grid, then reshape key height, row gaps and left or right reach for your hands.
Three grids
Open Layout to choose how the keys are arranged: the NuKey grid, a traditional grid, or a custom one that is the NuKey grid reshaped. To start a custom layout, choose NuKey first.
Measurements
| Key height | How tall every key is. |
|---|---|
| Gap within a row | Between two keys in the same row. |
| Gap between rows | Between one row and the next. |
Reach handles
Drag a full-height outer handle inward for left- or right-hand reach, which narrows the keyboard towards one thumb. Tap a row to get its own handles, and use the arrows to adjust the key gaps.
This layout: share, import, reset
| Share | Get a QR code anyone can scan. |
|---|---|
| Import | Read a layout out of a code saved in Photos. |
| Reset | Back to NuKey's standard grid. |
A layout code carries the whole shape inside it. Nothing is uploaded and it works with no internet.
Split keyboard on a wide display
On a wide display held sideways (such as iPhone Duo unfolded), NuKey can split into two halves, one under each thumb. See iPhone Duo.
