My Words and Quick Text
Teach NuKey your names and slang, and expand short codes like “omy” into whole phrases.
My Words
Open Words & Quick Text. My Words is the list autocorrect leaves alone.
- Tap to add a word: a name, slang, a specialist term, anything autocorrect keeps changing.
- NuKey accepts it as typed from then on.
- Remove a word and autocorrect may start changing it again.
Picked Up Words
Terms NuKey has learned from your typing appear in their own group. Tap one to keep it permanently, or tap its × to forget it.
CarefulClear removes every word in that group and cannot be undone.
Quick Text
Quick Text saves a short shortcut alongside the longer phrase it should insert. For example, typing omy can expand to On my way!
- A shortcut can contain letters and numbers, is stored in lowercase and can be up to 24 characters long.
- Tap a saved phrase to edit it, or × to remove it.
- You can also pick phrases from the Quick Text key on the keyboard, once you enable it in Keys → Utility keys.

Phrases that fill themselves in
For text that changes (the date, a greeting, a random password), use an automation with live tokens instead. See Shortcuts and automations.
