Nuke Mode Pro
A bare-bones turbo keyboard built for speed, on its own button.
What it is
Nuke Mode swaps your styled keyboard for a fixed, tight, fast one. It uses a turbo look and a compact key grid, and switches off custom themes, fonts, lighting and swipe typing for a simpler keyboard.
Turning it on and off
- Enable the Nuke Mode button in the Keys menu under Utility Keys (Show the Nuke Mode button on the keyboard).
- Tap the button on the keyboard to enter Nuke Mode, and again to leave.
- Alternatively give it to the rotary knob or push button as a press action.
What changes when you enter
- The number row, comma, full stop and Quick Text turn on. You can switch any of them off afterwards.
- Your previous layout returns when you leave.
- Theme, key legends, background and lighting controls pause with a note, because Nuke Mode uses its own fixed colours.
- Word suggestions and emoji suggestions are kept off: the bar offers corrections only.
Word Correction in Nuke Mode
Nuke Mode has its own Word Correction switch. It fixes misspelled words as you type and commits a fix more readily than the standard keyboard. Switch it off and Nuke Mode leaves words exactly as typed, with nothing offered in the bar.
Sound and haptics
In Nuke Mode, the separate Sound and Haptics switches control the standard iOS click and tap. Your NuKey switch sounds are kept for when you leave.
